We’d like you to meet Carmen Platt from The Generous and the Grateful (GG), an inspiring member of the Venture Café Sydney community.
Carmen and her Co-founder Davida Sweeney support survivors of homelessness and harm who are starting over by sourcing and supplying pre-loved furniture and white goods. In collaboration with frontline workers at aid agencies, GG values “providing dignity through high-quality household necessities”.
Carmen is an enthusiastic member of the Venture Cafe Sydney community, attending various workshops like Ethical Sourcing Roadmap by Konica Minolta. By making meaningful connections during Thursday Gatherings, Carmen was able to secure a warehouse owned by Frasers Property Australia and Winten Property Group for bushfire relief and quarantining goods during COVID-19.
